Postgraduate Program

Overview

The Eklavya Undergraduate Program supports first-generation learners from marginalized communities in accessing quality undergraduate education. Through workshops, mentorship, and application support, the program helps students build awareness about higher education opportunities, prepare for entrance exams, and secure admissions to reputed institutions with scholarships. It aims to create a network of empowered youth who can lead change in their communities.

Program Highlights

Awarness

We introduce students to diverse higher education opportunities, fellowships, and scholarships available across India. Through workshops, webinars, and resource-sharing, we help students understand what’s possible beyond their current academic environment.

Mentoring

Each student is matched with a mentor who guides them through personal and academic decisions. Mentors provide insights, motivation, and direction, helping students stay focused on their long-term goals.

Coaching

Students receive one-on-one and group coaching to prepare for entrance exams, application processes, and interviews. Our coaching ensures they are equipped with the skills and confidence needed to pursue higher education successfully.

Workshops

The workshops are an integral part of the UG Program, designed to create a transformative learning experience for first-generation college aspirants. These multi-day residential workshops bring together students from diverse regions and backgrounds, providing them a safe, inclusive, and motivating space to explore higher education opportunities. Through a mix of interactive sessions, hands-on activities, guest lectures by subject matter experts, and exposure to successful role models, students gain valuable insights into various career paths, courses, and colleges across the country. The workshops focus not only on academic preparedness but also on building essential life skills such as communication, decision-making, and goal-setting. Peer learning, community bonding, and direct interaction with mentors further enrich the experience, empowering students to envision a future beyond limitations and take confident steps toward it

Mentorship Program

The Mentorship Program lies at the heart of the UG initiative, offering consistent and personalised guidance to students as they navigate the complex world of higher education. Focused on building long-term, trust-based relationships, the program ensures that students are never alone in their journey — from aspiration to admission.

Student attends career workshop

Students begin their journey by attending an intensive career workshop, where they are introduced to a range of educational and career possibilities. This helps them reflect on their interests, strengths, and goals.

Matches with Dedicated Mentor

After the workshop, each student is carefully paired with a mentor who shares a similar academic or personal background. The mentor acts as a guide, role model, and motivator throughout the year.

One-year of Ongoing Support

Over the course of a year, mentors provide consistent support through regular check-ins, helping students make informed choices about courses, colleges, applications, and life skills. This continuous support helps students stay focused, confident, and on track.

Residential Program

The Residential Program is an intensive, three-month in-person learning experience designed to prepare first-generation learners for admission into premier colleges and universities across India. Focused on fields such as Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce, and Sciences, the program provides structured academic and non-academic support in a nurturing, distraction-free environment.

About the program

Hosted at the Eklavya Centre in Maharashtra, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to pursue higher education. Participants benefit from close mentorship, peer learning, and daily engagement in activities that expand their academic and personal horizons.
