English Teacher - For UG & PG program

Location: Nagpur, Maharashtra

Job Summary: The English Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality English instructions to students enrolled in Eklavya India Foundation’s coaching program, designed to prepare them for higher education entrance exams. The teacher will develop and implement a curriculum that enhances students’ language skills, including reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary, tailored to the requirements of CUET, APU, MH CET, CLAT, NID, NIFT, IIT IISER, NIPER, ICT entrance exams.

Key responsibilities:

1.Teaching:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English language instruction to UG and PG students, focusing on all aspects of language learning, including reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet students’ diverse learning styles and paces, ensuring that each student receives the support needed to succeed.
  • Utilize various teaching tools and resources, including digital platforms, to enhance the learning experience and keep students engaged.
  • Prepare and deliver interactive lessons that cover the exam syllabus and foster a love for the English language.

2.Evaluation:

  • Design and implement assessments, including quizzes, tests, and mock exams, to measure students’ progress and identify improvement areas.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, helping them to recognize their strengths and work on their weaknesses.
  • Track and analyze student performance data to refine teaching strategies and meet learning objectives.
  • Conduct regular review sessions to reinforce key concepts and address any lingering doubts before exams.

3. Curriculum development:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive English curriculum aligned with the requirements of higher education entrance exams.
  • Plan and conduct engaging and interactive lessons that improve students’ reading, writing, and verbal skills.
  • Create and provide supplementary materials and resources to reinforce learning, tailored to the specific needs of students preparing for exams such as CUET, APU, MH CET, CLAT, NID, NIFT, IIT IISER, NIPER, and ICT.

4. Student support:

  • Offer personalized support and guidance to students, addressing individual learning needs and challenges.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
  • Conducting extra sessions to ensure all students were adequately prepared for exams.
  • Provide socio-emotional support to students by recognizing and addressing the emotional and psychological challenges they may face, particularly those from marginalized communities. Encourage resilience, self-confidence, and a growth mindset, helping students to overcome barriers and stay motivated.

5. Program Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the Program Manager and other teachers to align the English curriculum with overall program objectives.
  • Participate in regular program evaluations and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.

6. Stakeholder engagement:

  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and other stakeholders to provide updates on progress and address any concerns.
  • Participate in workshops, meetings, and other activities organized by the foundation to enhance program effectiveness.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in teaching English, preferably in a competitive exam preparation setting.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by first-generation students from marginalized communities.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Empathy and values alignment with the organization’s cause and vision 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with online teaching platforms and digital tools for education.
  • Familiarity with entrance exam formats and requirements.

  • Instructional Skills: Ability to deliver clear, concise, and engaging lessons for students.

  • Empathy: Sensitivity to the unique challenges and needs of students from marginalized communities.

  • Adaptability: Flexible in teaching strategies to accommodate different learning paces and styles.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts understandably.

Account and Admin Executive

Location: Nagpur, Maharashtra

Job Summary: The Accountant and Admin Executive manages the financial and administrative functions of Eklavya India Foundation. This role ensures the smooth operation of financial processes, compliance with regulations, and the efficient management of administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking across both accounting and administrative responsibilities. 

Key responsibilities:

1. Financial Management: 

Bookkeeping: Maintain day-to-day accurate and up-to-date financial records, including daily transactions, receipts, and payments. 

Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monitor expenses against the budget.

Financial Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review. 

Assist in the preparation of financial reports for board meetings and audits. 

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage invoicing, payments, and collections, ensuring timely processing. 

Payroll: Process payroll, including salary disbursements, tax deductions, and related compliance. 

Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with all financial regulations.

2. Administrative Support:  

Office Management: Oversee office supplies, equipment maintenance, and facility management.

Documentation: Maintain organized records of contracts, agreements, and official documents. 

HR Administration: Support HR tasks such as maintaining employee records, processing leave applications, and coordinating recruitment efforts.

Coordination: Manage communication with vendors, service providers, and partners, ensuring efficient service delivery.

3. Compliance & Reporting: 

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all financial and administrative regulations, including tax filings and statutory returns. 

Director Reporting: Prepare financial reports for directors and stakeholders as required, ensuring transparency and accountability. 

Policy Implementation: Support the implementation and enforcement of organizational policies, including financial and administrative protocols. 

4. Audit Preparation: 

  • Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits. 
  • Prepare and organize documentation required for audits. 
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax filings(TDS, GST, etc.). 
  • Maintain records and documentation for compliance audits. 

 

Skills and Qualifications 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with Accounting Finance/Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting and administrative roles preferably in NGO’s Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. 
  •  Proficiency in accounting software e.g., Tally and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). – Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. 
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial and administrative tasks. 

 

Language Proficiency – English, Hindi, and Marathi languages (written and verbal)
